Play your cards right!



 

9 days training about effective methods of outdoor learning and experiential education for youth workers took place in the Czech Republic in Orlické hory in February 2014. There were 24 youth workers from 8 countries (Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Slovakia and Turkey).  

 
 
The goals of the training were as follows:

• to experience two days and nights surviving outside on the snow

• to get first hand experience with the programmes, games and activities used in experiential learning

• to understand the theory behind

 
• to share experience and good practices from your own youth work

• to try out the role of an instructor leading the activity for other participants

• to plan and develop your own project based on the experiential methodology in your home
country


The training course was organized by a non-formal group Czekobanda. The trainers are instructors of Outward Bound.
The project was funded by Youth in Action Programme.
